Earlier this month, I attended the APIdays conference in Sydney, organized by Saul Caganoff of Sixtree and supported by the ever present Mehdi Medjaoui. Mashape is a recurring face at APIdays, where we’ve been a supporter of the event from the beginning. The conference consists of two tracks over two days. Experts, evangelists and enthusiasts were welcome to attend and learn about what’s happening in the API space.   APIDays Sydney near Redfern hosted in an old repurposed train station   I personally enjoyed talks that featured topics less often discussed in the API landscape, such as security…

We are here in the community, and we like to be part of the success of different events by finding creative ways to sponsor them. Of course, we can’t participate in all tech-related events, but if your primary audience is developers, and you are looking for experienced speakers for non-product pitch talks, let us know! You…

At API Launchpad yesterday in APIWorld, 6 companies launched their new APIs.  Check them out below (and links to their presentation slides too!): Drillster provides an online memorization platform. By using a scientifically proven algorithm, Drillster allows users to memorize learning material quicker and more easily. Moreover, Drillster accurately predicts for each individual user when the proficiency has dropped below a pre-set level, triggering users to brush up. Its core functionality is easily integrated into learning management systems, but can be used as a standalone product as well. [Slides] If you like to cook, you probably get many recipes…
